Puzzling with metabolites

Several NMC key scientist were interviewed by Interface, a publication by the Netherlands Bioinformatics Centre (NBIC)

Metabolomics is a rapidly evolving functional genomics technology that aims to provide a comp rehensive, qualitative and quantitative characterization of the biochemical comp osition of a biological samp le. The current HPLC , MS and NMR techniques produce a flood of metabolomics data. NBIC ’s BioAssist Metabolomics support platform, in close cooperation with the Netherlands Metabolomics Centre and the Centre for BioSystems Genomics, aims to realize powerful software tools and dedicated functionalities for processing, analyzing and interpreting the overwhelming dataflow.
